Cinemas around Darlington

Odeon Cinema Darlington

Northgate, Darlington DL1 1RB, UK – 0333 014 4501

Although the actual building looks small it is actually very spacious. The audio quality in screen 1 is okay but there is a lot of reverberation. Screen 2 and 3 don't have this issue. All the staff are friendly and the prices are absolutely fantastic. It's only £3 A ticket and premier seating is just £4. I would definitely suggest going here for seeing a film. For some reason the cinema is not very popular especially now the Vue has opened just 10 minutes up the road. But because of this, you can expect almost every visit to be fairly quiet, as in not many people there. It's lovely and if you come to Darlington, visit the first cinema we had.

Went to the cinema on Sunday, for the 10.45am showing. Staff where helpful at the desk to purchase tickets & food. Ticket price was really good at £3 each. Thought the slush for a medium size, rather pricey £4.25. The cinema hall was extremely cold, had to take my coat off to give to granddaughter's to wrap over themselves to keep warm.

Vue Cinemas Darlington

Feethams, Darlington DL1 5RD, UK – 0871 224 0240

Great cinema. Nice and clean. Big screens and comfy. Very cheap prices for film but expensive food. They don't seem to mind you taking small snacks in with you though. Each screen is monitored by night vision cameras which pick up flashing of phones or cameras. (I got a text message and it was seen on camera flashing in my bag) the staff will approach you and not bat an eye lid to check on piracy. Toilets are nice and clean but do get filled with rubbish straight after a big movie ends but it's normally cleaned up before the next big movie. Staff can read tickets on your phone with scanner so saving the trees. Seats are positioned so you tend not to be disturbed to much by a toilet trip

Easily accessible cinema with theatre seating and up to date screen/sound experience. Good number of screens offering a variety of films and live streamed events. Reccomend bringing your own snacks as prices inside a tad on the expensive side.

Theatres for Darlington

The Majestic Theatre

78-80 Bondgate, Darlington DL3 7JT, UK – 01325 633255

The new company has made an effort at the reopening. The young performers were great and full of potential. Hopefully the lighting and sound effects would get better overtime. The drink was a bit pricey - 5.5 pounds for a normal single G&T.

A great place to bring the kids, lots to do in the play area and on the climbing frames and slides plus they cater for birthday party's and there's food and drinks available, what more could you want!

Darlington Hippodrome

Parkgate, Darlington DL1 1RR, UK – 01325 405405

Building looks impressive since the refurb. On walking into the entrance received a warm welcome from two of the staff who guided me to where to pick up my tickets for that nights show. At the bar we got a couple of drinks, the prices were just a little more than you would pay in town.We took our seats, centre front row and from there on we had a great night. Thoroughly enjoyed the show Joe Pasquale in Some Mothers Do 'Ave em. The theatre serve food although we didn't eat there as we had eaten prior to entering . There are few restaurants within short walking distance of theatre, Thai, Indian and Mediterranean. Overall, lovely experience!

A lovely theatre. It was my first visit here and I wasn't disappointed. It's larger than it looks from the outside and has great facilities. The bar opened at 6.30pm (Sunday) and had a good selection of drinks available with attentive bar staff. Toilets were clean and tidy. The whole experience was great.

Theatre Hullabaloo

Borough Rd, Darlington DL1 1SG, UK – 01325 405680

1st time here. Saw Tom Allen. Great small venue. Comfy seats. No air con, very warm. Small bar, recommend you order drinks for the interval. Friendly staff.

The sensory area is amazing and free. Looking forward to going to see a show there sometime.
