The Vehicle Hire itself was excellent, I had been upgraded to a Micro Bus. HOWEVER I am extremely disappointed at being obliged to pay excess regarding a dent put in the bonnet of the Vehicle by a random act !! I encountered an "EDL" protest whilst In Leeds and a random protester threw a projectile at the Vehicle, only later did I realise it had been a bottle and it left a crease on the ridge of the bonnet. Whilst it was not Enterprises fault, it was not mine either!! It is unfair that I was penalised. Staff did not even seem interested in my misadventure. It was a minor crease, and surely it would not have been a major loss for Enterprise, it was just Bad Luck like a falling tree branch or similar. This has soured a very good interaction:-( I paid up, I probably should have protested harder at the time, but it has really bugged me in retrospect.

Friendly and helpful, but on the day I was there they were understaffed with 1 person in the office trying to process several customers. But on the odd occasion I have used them, they've been good.

My son in law booked a box van. Then was told that there were none available. Also difficult to find.

Ray was recommended by a friend as we have just moved into the area, we needed someone to fit some oak worktops and do some skirting boards, Ray came out and gave us a quote to which we were happy to go ahead. Bought my BMW 1 Series from Blackburns after hearing good reviews. I paid for extended warranty for 12 month. 8 month of owning the car the turbo coolant pump failed. Sadly this was not covered by the third party warranty company, but Blackburns offered £100 towards the £150 bill out of good will. Very happy with the services provided from start to finish.

My wife has just purchased her second car from Blackburns of Darlington, the service received from Mathew was second to none, cars are priced fairly and are usually dealer cars of a very high standard. Very hard to find the entrance - we circled the block before we got the correct, narrow street. (The entrance is NOT as depicted on Google Streetview - the Streetview shows the back of the building; access is via the parallel street). Helpful staff, but a 25 min delay as there was a customer in front of us.

Rented a van here on short notice due to another van rental company failing to provide me with good enough service. The staff has been super friendly, got the van for a great price and all has been good!

We hired a van for a recent house move. The van was only a matter of weeks old, immaculate inside and out which was handy as we were moving soft furnishings. It was lovely to drive and fairly nimble for a van of its size. Picking the van up / dropping it off was a pleasure due to the friendly service that we received. so impressed with service from A J Clacher, from providing advice from initial quote and what was required, costs explained upfront so no hidden surprises, to the first class installation. Attention to detail was second to none throughout. Although no one is ever happy having to pay for new boiler, I was satisfied with the cost and having the assurance of a reputable company to contact should I have any issues later on.

We chose to replace our boiler and contacted him after we came to our decision and he researched,sourced and replaced our boiler over this festive time .. he worked like a Trojan ( it wasnt a straight forward job) so we could have heating and hot water during this cold spell. Claire and Andy and their team have been extremely accommodating. I am getting things done remotely and the level of service provided has made this possible without a hitch to date. They got a heating system put in and, being a non resident, I had a lot of questions because we have very different systems in North America----they were extremely patient and careful with their advice and commentaries on my questions. I would highly recommend them, in fact they are updating a bathroom now and I feel very confident in leaving it in their hands. PS Their fitting crew were apparently lovely to work with according to my property manager and their tidy habits meant the job was not more disruptive than needed

We moved to a modern property to discover that a comparatively new boiler needed to be replaced. Left an enquiry on a Saturday morning on Blackwell's website. Within two hours received a call and a follow up call on the Monday to arrange a survey for a couple of days later. The business owner undertook the survey and acting on his very professional advice we had a new Worcester Bosch boiler installed. The installation was undertaken with minimum disruption by friendly and helpful technicians, who took time to instruct us in the control and setting of the system. We understand that Blackwell will continue to service the boiler. It has been a very positive experience for us and based on our experience, we are more than happy to recommend Blackwell Heating should you need a boiler replacement.

David is a great instructor. I previously had a driving instructor who did not teach me to drive safely. David focused on this and made me a very safe and confident driver which allowed me to pass my test with one minor. Every minute spent in the car with David was great, he is great to talk to and will keep you very calm. You can tell he is very passionate about his job. Definitely the best driving instructor around!

Had an issue when boarding my loft during a roof refit in which the lights in my child's room began to flicker and a fizzing sound emanated from the area above the switch. Contacted this electrician who after giving some brief advice and direction arrived the next day. In an absolutely sweltering loft he assessed and fixed the problem in just short of an hour, explained what had happened in simple terms. Reasonable cost for the effort and swiftness of the job. Would recommend.

After contacting Harvey's manager Gavin directly(on a Sunday afternoon) regarding having an outside socket installed, Gavin swiftly responded and booked me in at a convenient time to suit. I requested a call 30 minutes before arrival, and true to their word today I received my call to enable me to get back home in time. I was greeted by Alex, such a pleasant young man, he set about the task in hand, no mess made. We've used Brian and Marilyn over a couple of years now to entertain visitors to a large outdoor event I help to organise. They certainly know how to keep the little ones and their families entertained. The Punch and Judy shows are hilarious and with added bonus of the balloon modelling and face painting there's something for everyone. I'd have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking for children's entertainment.

We booked these gus pretty much last minute as we had been let down...I have to say I'm glad we were let down, We booked for a 2 hour kids disco that was packed full of party games, dances and they even provided all the prizes for games like pass the parcel etc. I was so impressed that I've booked new year, and my daughters 13th party in 2014, plus the village I live in are looking to book several events through out the year with them too. Not only did they impress me but they certainly impressed the other 100 people at my sons party!

John Robert and Mick came to cut down a laurel hedge and build a fence to stop soil falling into field at the rear of our house. It took just 2 and half days to do an excellent job and we are very pleased with the result. Keepmup the good work

I booked Cheryl to do wedding hair and make-up for myself and my bridesmaids. From the trial to the day itself, Cheryl was enthusiastic, supportive and did an amazing job. Wedding mornings can be stressful but she kept me totally calm, gave me some much-needed advice and create the exact look I envisaged in my head. All of my bridesmaids had different hair and make up looks and she was able to create all of them and they all looked great. I highly recommend Cheryl for any hair and beauty needs, especially if you're a bride!

I have had my tan and nails done by Cheryl and she is really friendly and very professional. I got the chocolate tan and it's was amazing! Had my nails done twice and went for the chrome effect I was over the moon with them. I could not recommend enough I have also booked to get my nails done again. Will definitely keep going back 😊 xx

Without a doubt the best haircut I've ever had. The lassies washing hair are lovely, the head massage is so relaxing. The inside of the building is clean and well decorated. Paul really got to know my hair, 10 years and nobody had ever told me I had it cut in the wrong direction so it was no wonder it wasn't sitting right! He really enjoyed the opportunity to do something creative (short, textured hair with a shaved side) and is a very talented bloke. I'm not going to bother going anywhere else. Thanks guys :)

Sal and her wonderful team have looked after our dogs for over 10 years. We couldn't be without them and wouldn't use anyone else. We have three spaniels who love it when they get picked up for walks,have sleepovers or they stay with us. They understand all their characters and keep incredibly good care of them

I have nearly completed my 2nd year at Houghall studying animal care and i wanted to gain a bit more experience working with dogs so i volunteered at Black Bank Kennels i immediately felt like one of the family as Sue and Dave are great bosses they run an amazing facilities for dogs the kennels and cattery are really clean the dogs get plenty of exercise and attention as they are walked 3 times a day and plenty of time to play too nothing is ever to much trouble and i would have no hesitation as to leaving my animal in their care. i would recommend Black Bank Kennels to anyone 100 % they treat the animals as they would their own.

The staff (both recently past and the new guys from Crown Street) are exemplary librarians. They maintain a highly efficient library under difficult circumstances - I won't go into local politics you all know the shame of our council 😒 The library is kept clean and warm and welcoming for all ages, they fight well with the PC's and win 99% of the printing battles, there is no book they won't try to order, no reservation to niggly to sort, no reading suggestions beneath or beyond them and they are superb with the local school children visits😊 I continue to use and support them and Cockerton library; join in because it is definitely a case of use it or lose it!

Its a superb library in a lovely historic building well set out with seating area plenty of services and information all that you need. It has a walk in art gallery free of charge, and is in the town center close to everything else.

We used this Camera A for my daughters wedding photographs as we'd been recommended to them by a friend. The day was fantastic and Anne made the day go smoothly, the photographs were fun and natural and we were over the moon with the photographs we received. I would highly recommend this photographers in Darlington again!

On approach to the DCAS you are immediately aware of the amazing ambience and look of the place-sweeping vistas are all around you: Particularily of note are the bird and wildlife sanctuary on the northern perimeter of the site (protected from wind blow by high netting).On the south side are more industrial areas selling a variety of trade and non trade premises. The staff on site are efficient and work in a very professional manner. The layout of the site is excellent and consists a number of large industrial size containers in which you can dispose most items. I was thrilled to visit and can't praise the site enough

Had food from here twice. Both times the food has been very good. The guy that serves me each time is quite young. I just wish he would be a bit more original with the food though. At the end of the day all Chinese takeaway offer the same menu. As this guy is young I think he could offer something better as he probably has the energy to do it.

Always go to Hayes Travel to book holidays they always try to find the best deals which are affordable. Me and my boyfriend have booked our holidays to Majorca and Salou and we went straight back to book our summer holiday for next year to Tenerife! Staff are very friendly and have plenty of experience so they can even tell you what a place is like as a lot of the staff have visited a lot of the destinations! There are lots to choose from whether it's a cheap city break or a nice 2 week break. And they always have an excellent currency exchange rate! Will always highly recommend!

Recently had to get my family dog put to sleep and the team at Stanhope park were amazing. Took time to explain everything and made sire we understood. The girl stayed in the room and held the dog while she was put to sleep and I think she even had a tear in her eye after. They really do care about the animals here.

We unfortunately had to use the out of hours service but our little pooch just couldn't hang on till we got there. They dealt with the whole situation amazingly and there was no pressure for money upfront, we were so grateful for the few days to grieve and get our heads round it. They talked us through all our options and were able to answer every question we had. Can't fault them on any part of the experience which is definately what you need in such an awful situation. We will be forever thankful for their care that night and the week following.

Lovely vets, I highly recommend! The staff have cared for our little Angel so wonderfully since we got her as a baby. They’ve always been so helpful both in the practice and over the phone, and have always reassured us if we have had any concerns. The staff have also been fantastic in supporting us in looking after Angel after her diagnosis of diabetes. Without such support, we would struggle in properly caring for our little fur baby. Cannot thank you all enough!

Had my windows and gutters done by Adam and his colleague today and all i can say is outstanding.
